Inter-Informatics have participated on the delivery of a robotic cell for the welding of twelve container product lines for KOVO Sipox a.s.. The supplier of the cells is robotec s.r.o. and Inter-Informatics’s contribution to the project was the design, development and document production of four welding jigs. Delivery also included installation and production launch support at the end-user’s site.
The installation has successfully been completed and the customer is currently running a trial production process, supported by Inter-Informatics employees.
The most challenging aspect of the process was to meet the variability of jigs required, because containers of different sizes would need to be welded on the same jig. This meant that all the documentation for all requested product lines had to be completed altogether.
Another important aspect of the project was its short delivery time. That was one of the reasons why riveted construction was chosen. Due to the rapid development process, the team omitted most of the detailed documentation – with the exception of the drawings of machined parts. For flame cutting, the design data was used directly in the cutting machine. And a PC workstation with a 3D model opened in a CAD program has been used on the assembly line instead of assembly drawings.
Robotec s.r.o. provides comprehensive services for all stages of robotic technology implementation.
